Tracking Website Edits

Our credit union clients use the “Simple History Tool” for compliance purposes in case they are ever audited. This tool tracks every change made on the website including logins.

Note that it is very common to see users every day trying to log into the website so do not be alarmed if you see “admin attempts” to login to the website. This is one of the reasons why it is critical to use secure passwords.

You can access this tool by going to Dashboard > Simple History in the lefthand sidebar area.

To export a CSV file go to Settings > Simple History and select the “Export CSV” tab. Items in the database are automatically removed after 60 days to not slow down the site. Ask your Account Manager if you need data prior to this.

You also have the option to export an HTML file, which is closer to the view that you will see in Dashboard > Simple History. To do so, go to Settings > Simple History and select the “Export HTML” tab. After downloading the file, open it in any browser to view the changes. Note for lengthy changes that is a paragraph of running text or longer, select the change, and you will see a scroll bar display that you will need to toggle to view the extent of the changes.
